Report: Percy Harvin Missed Final Seahawks Preseason Game Due To A Fight

The story of Percy Harvin's exit from the Seattle Seahawks is a complex one it seems, full of reported "anger issues" and an altercation that left now-Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate with a black eye.

Now, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times is reporting that Harvin missed the Seahawks' final preseason game against the Oakland Raiders due to a fight with fellow wideout Doug Baldwin:

Per an article Condotta coauthored with Jayson Jenks on Friday, the altercation "resulted in Baldwin getting a cut on his chin and each player being excused from practices that week."

They also point out that "one final straw, a league source said, came in Sunday’s 30-23 loss to Dallas when Harvin apparently balked at going back into the game in the fourth quarter. Harvin played 26 of 48 official snaps but did not play 11 of the final 17."

That "final straw" would lead to Harvin being traded to the New York Jets on Friday for what could amount to merely a mid-round draft pick in 2015.
