4 Reasons Why Russell Wilson Is Better Than Colin Kaepernick

The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers have one of the fiercest rivalries in sports, which has created a natural competition among the players - particularly at the quarterback position. While both Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick have had successful careers to this point, here are four reasons why Wilson is undoubtedly better than Kaepernick:

4) More mobile

Kaepernick is known as the more athletic quarterback, but Wilson has actually proven to be a better rusher in their NFL careers. Wilson has 1,877 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career on the ground, while surprisingly Kaepernick has just 1,576 yards and 10 touchdowns rushing.

3) Passing prowess

Even though both QB's are known for their running ability, Wilson is a remarkably better passer. He's passed for just under 10,000 yards with 72 touchdowns and just 26 interceptions in the past three years, while Kaepernick has thrown for just under 8,500 yards and just 50 touchdowns with 21 interceptions.

2) Head-to-head advantage

In their seven career matchups (six regular season, one postseason), Wilson's Seahawks have won five times compared to Kaepernick's two.

1) Super Bowl pedigree

Kaepernick has made the Super Bowl one time in his first four years, but Wilson has led the Seahawks there twice in his three seasons in the league and has brought one Lombardi trophy back to Seattle.
