3 Reasons Why The Seahawks Will Beat The Vikings

The 10-6 Seattle Seahawks visit the 11-5 Minnesota Vikings this weekend in an NFC Wild Card game. The Vikings may have the better record and the home field, but the Seahawks will leave with a win. Here are 3 Reasons Why The Seahawks Will Beat The Vikings:

3. Return Of Marshawn Lynch
The Seahawks probably don't need Lynch to play this week to beat Minnesota. The Seahawks' defense and passing attack (see below) is more than good enough to carry the team. The Seahawks think Lynch should be ready to go this weekend, which makes the Seattle's chances to beat Minnesota even better. With Lynch back, the Seahawks are in perfect position to grab a win.

2. Stingy Defense
The Vikings have a really good defense, but Seattle's unit is even better. Seattle is second in the NFL in total yards allowed per game, second in passing yards and first run defense and points allowed. The Vikings offense has struggled at times this season and QB Teddy Bridgewater is not good enough yet to carry the Vikings against such a great defense. The Seahawks will shut down Adrian Peterson and force Bridgewater to throw the ball. Bridgewater will struggle and the Seahawks will pick up the win.

1. Russell Wilson
The Seahawks offensive line improved just enough this season to give Wilson an extra second to make plays and the Seahawks are benefitting greatly. It's a career-year for Wilson, who is completing 68 percent of his passes for 34 TDs and only eight picks. In his last seven games, Wilson has just one pick against 24 TDs. Wilson has been nothing short of incredible and he'll continue his great play by leading the Seahawks to win over the Vikings.
