Taylor Motter was 4 for 5 with a homer, two doubles and two RBI, but the visiting Tacoma Rainiers lost a slugfest 11-9 to the Salt Lake Bees on Thursday night.
Motter raised his average to .333.
Gordon Beckham was 2 for 4 with two doubles and four RBI for the Rainiers.
Tyler Cloyd started for Tacoma and lasted only 12/3 innings after giving up six runs on six hits. He struck out three and walked two. Ernesto Frieri got the loss after giving up four runs in the seventh inning.
