SEATTLE -- All six Major League coaches on manager Scott Servais' staff will return next season, the club announced Thursday, while Triple-A Tacoma hitting coach Scott Brosius will be added as a seventh assistant coach.
Bench coach Tim Bogar, hitting coach Edgar Martinez, pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre Jr., third-base coach Manny Acta, first-base coach Casey Candaele and bullpen coach Mike Hampton will all return for their second season under Servais, while quality assurance coach Chris Prieto returns in a slightly different role as special projects coach.
"Our coaches played a huge role in creating the culture, both on and off the field, that we enjoyed last season," said Servais.
