SAN JOSE, Calif. – With a two-round total of 602, Santa Clara women's golf sits in a fourth-place tie after the first day of competition at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, competed at the 6,194-yard, par-72 Almaden Golf and Country Club.
Juniors Kristin Le and Kyleigh Moreno got the morning off to a good start with each carding an even-par 72 over the first 18 holes leading the Broncos to a team score of 297. The Broncos slid to a second round 305, leaving them tied with UC Irvine 12 shots behind leader BYU.
