Women's Basketball Rolls by Pacific 68-51

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – In the finale of a four-game homestand, Santa Clara women's basketball beat Pacific 68-51 Saturday afternoon in Leavey. The Broncos held the Tigers to just 16 first half points, the lowest total by Pacific in an opening half this season.

Santa Clara (12-13, 7-7 WCC) played with urgency from the opening tip, especially on the defensive end. The Broncos forced 19 Pacific (9-16, 5-9 WCC) turnovers and collected 11 steals.

"We had good energy on a Saturday afternoon," Santa Clara head coach Bill Carr said. "We were dialed-in and made it hard for them by getting them out of their rhythm.
