Softball Scores Seven Unanswered Runs to Complete Comeback at San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – In the final road game of the season, Santa Clara softball topped San Diego 7-3 Sunday afternoon.

After falling behind 3-0 in the first, Santa Clara (12-31, 4-5 WCC) scored seven unanswered runs to complete the comeback and take the final game in the series behind the arm of Ciara Gonzalez and the bat of Morgan Modesto.

Gonzalez (3-6) entered after Bronco starter Aubree Kim was pulled without getting an out and got the win in 7 shutout innings of relief. She allowed just three hits and had three strikeouts.
