SAN DIEGO – The Santa Clara men's basketball team was in need of West Coast Conference road victory and Jared Brownridge helped deliver one with some late-game heroics.
Brownridge scored a game-high 20 points, including the game-winning basket with just more than one minute left, to propel the Broncos to a 59-57 victory over San Diego.
KJ Feagin tallied 19 points on 7 of 13 from the field and Matt Hauser, in his first game back from injury, added 10 for the Broncos (9-9, 3-2) who overcame frontcourt foul trouble to claim their sixth win in last nine games.
