After defeating Northern Colorado and Sacred Heart at home in preliminary-round action in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational (Nov. 19-25), the Broncos fell to No. 8/9-ranked Arizona and Vanderbilt in bracket play at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Broncos, in their first season under head coach Herb Sendek, were edged Wednesday at home 58-55 by UC Irvine, which connected on a season-best 55 percent of its field goal attempts.
