Vlasic takes slap shot, but Sharks' defenseman says he's fine

NASHVILLE, Tennessee -- Marc-Edouard Vlasic took a Shea Weber slap shot to the head and for one of the few moments in Game 2, SAP Center went almost completely silent.

There was then a loud cheer -- to go with the sound of over 17,000 people exhaling -- when Vlasic got up after he absorbed the blast and skated to the Sharks bench under his own power. The veteran defenseman likes to block shots, but perhaps not with his head from a Weber slapper, one of the hardest in the NHL. The puck hit and dented his visor.
