The San Jose Sharks selected Patrick Marleau No. 2 overall in the 1997 NHL Draft and he stuck around for a total of 19 seasons.

After his incredible run, Marleau is on to a new home. The 37-year-old center signed a three-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning this offseason, ending his tenure in San Jose.

On Sunday, the Sharks paid their respects to Marleau with a full-page ad in the San Jose Mercury News, writing, "There aren't enough words to describe what you've meant to San Jose."
