Logan Couture exited Saturday’s loss to the Predators in the second period after being hit in the face with a deflected puck.
The Sharks center’s dad, Chet Couture, offered a slight glimpse into Logan Couture’s status Sunday by calling it “an ugly injury.”

Couture was taken to a local hospital in Nashville, according to Sharks coach Pete DeBoer.
“You can’t replace him, so it would be really tough,” Patrick Marleau said when asked potentially having to go without Couture next week.
