Potentially playing as an audition for a trade in the coming week, Eduardo Nunez had a very strong series against the Padres. In four games, Nunez picked up eight hits in 19 at-bats and drove in three runs. On Saturday, he came up with a big hit on the fourth inning, driving in two runs with a single to erase a two-run deficit and bring the score back to even.
Nunez has been one of the Giants’ only consistent offensive threats this season. He’s raised his average to .305 on the year, backing up his first All-Star campaign with another great year.
