Law on disabled list with elbow strain, says he’s not worried

The Giants are awaiting MRI results on the right elbow of reliever Derek Law, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday morning with what the club is calling an elbow strain.

This is a very concerning injury not only because Law has been the Giants' best reliever, but also because the 25-year-old rookie had Tommy John surgery two years ago.

"We want to take care of this kid and make sure nothing is going on and give him the break he needs," manager Bruce Bochy said.

Bochy could not say if the medical staff feared a reinjury to Law's surgically rebuilt elbow ligament.
