Giants great Barry Bonds loses collusion case

A arbitrator has sided with Major League Baseball over Barry Bonds in a case in which the former Giant sought damages for collusion after he was unable to get a job when after and the Giants parted ways, according to a report.

CBSSports.com reporter Jon Heyman wrote that arbitrator Frederic Horowitz within the last few days issued a written ruling against Bonds, who was forced into retirement after the 2007 season when he still wanted to play.

Even at 42, Bonds was a formidable hitter in his 22nd and final major-league season, during which he broke Henry Aaron's all-time home run mark.
