Brandon Crawford came out of the Giants’ game against Dodgers on Tuesday with what looked to be an injury
The shortstop had trouble getting to first base on a single in the eighth inning, grabbing near his right upper leg, groin and hip.
Crawford was pulled from the game and pitcher Jeff Samardzija, once a college football player, pinch-ran for him.
Crawford is already due to miss the next two games while on the three-day bereavement list. He is set to attend funeral services in the Los Angeles area for his sister-in-law, Jennifer Pippin, who died unexpectedly after suffering an asthma attack.
