SF Giants Trade Deadline Rumors Roundup: Search For Pitching, Jay Bruce And Mark Melancon

The MLB trade deadline on July 31st is rapidly approaching, and the San Francisco Giants trade rumors are starting to heat up on the hot stove. San Francisco is 59-43 and in first place in the NL West. But the Giants could try to swing a trade or two to help their World Series chase. With that in mind, here all the latest SF Giants trade rumors.

Pitching Main Focus?
Now that they've added INF Eduardo Nunez, the Giants are turning their attention to the pitching staff.

The tweet refers to GM Bobby Evans. The team could look for another starter to upgrade the back-end of the rotation, but bullpen help might be the priority.

SF After Melancon?
The Giants need another option in the pen, whether it be a closer or a set-up man. They've been linked one player in the last few hours.

The issue is that the Giants don't want to give up a top prospect for a rental, which is exactly what Melancon is. If it's not Melancon, the Giants are still likely to search for bullpen help.

Do Giants Want Bruce?
It's unclear if the Giants have interest in OF Jay Bruce, as there are conflicting reports about the Giants interest.

Hunter Pence is returning, as mentioned above, which mitigates the Giants' need for OF help. Plus, the Dodgers appear to be pushing hard for Bruce.
