The San Francisco Giants made headlines Thursday night by acquiring former Reds ace Mike Leake, and though he'll be a free agent this offseason, they're confidend they can sign him beyond this year, according to Peter Gammons of GammonsDaily.com.

San Francisco has had no trouble reaching late-season extensions in recent years, and Leake may be more apt to stick around with their recent history of postseason success.
