Will history repeat itself for the Giants at the 2014 MLB trade deadline?

In this Giants trade rumors and news update, one MLB.com writer thinks it would be wise to keep an eye on San Francisco Giants general manager Brian Sabean as the team enters the final two weeks before the July 31st non-waiver MLB trade deadline.

Per writer Chris Haft, "don't be surprised if general manager Brian Sabean tries to hasten the team's progress by engineering a trade, as he has done virtually every Trade Deadline when San Francisco has been in contention."

After the Dodgers completely eradicated the Giants' nine-and-a-half game lead in the NL West over the last few weeks of the season's first half, the Giants are left attempting to get their ship back on-track.

Sabean has already indicated that there are "no untouchables" on the roster when it comes to possible trades - an assertion that will hold even more weight with the team in a tense pennant race.

Look to the Giants to at least address the back end of their bullpen (and perhaps second base), if not more as the next fifteen days play out.
