The stars seem to be aligning on a deal in which the New York Mets all-star hitter Carlos Beltran is dealt to an offensively weak San Francisco 
Giants team. The deal seams close to complete, with just a few logistics to work out, but it does not appear as if the Giants will lose any of their big name pitchers in the process. Giants fans will love Beltran in the lineup, because unlike everyone else on the Giants roster he can hit the ball consistently.
