Bruce Bochy: Giants will head into spring training in good health

Hunter Pence sat in the club level at AT&T Park on Friday, his shock of curly hair demanding attention from all who approached, and revealed that his “first hack” after injuring an oblique in August came in November — with a golf club at a charity event.

A month later, he started swinging a bat in the cage, and now, he said, “Everything’s been better than ever. We’re good to go.”

That was a recurring theme during the media availability ahead of Saturday’s Fanfest. Players who were injured or concussed at the end of 2015 all said they were ready to go full-bore in spring training, which begins with pitchers and catcher reporting Wednesday.
