11 Twitter Accounts Every SF Giants Fan Should Be Following

Following this account gives you easy access to all of the latest Giants news and updates, along with live tweet commentary on the game. It's like using the Chat Sports website, except tailored for your Twitter experience.

If you already have the Chat Sports app (and you should), @ChatSFGiants is the perfect compliment to cover all of your bases when it comes to the Giants.

You should already be following every player, but in case you aren't, here are three guys who are worth the follow:

@bcraw35 – Brandon Crawford

Crawford is one of the most active Giants on Twitter, weighing in on a lot of different subjects besides strictly baseball.

Though his activity has predictably dropped a bit now that the season is underway, he and his wife Jalynne provide updates and pictures of their two daughters (and if they don't melt your heart, I don't know what does).

Following him gives you a sense of the kind of guy Crawford is when the uniform is off.

@Mcode38 – Michael Morse

The newest Giant to the team and to Twitter, Morse has gone through some growing pains with social media (even tweeting to himself on occasion).

He is entertaining though, most recently documenting his trip to Alcatraz earlier this week. He has responded to fans whenever he's had the time, so give him a follow and you'll likely interact with him, or at least read a tweet that makes you scratch your head.

@hunterpence – Hunter Pence

Everyone knows what Pence is like on the field, so it's no surprise that he brings that same energy on his Twitter account.

He does a good job of posting pictures from his Instagram regularly, as well as interacting with fans. Most recently he gave an update about playing the video game Injustice during his visit to IGN studios.

No matter what he's tweeting about, you can expect passion and energy, like always.

Analysis is one of the biggest parts of the game, and staying up to date with every stat, trend and rumor can be hard to manage – but that's when you call in the experts.

Here are a few analysts who provide some great insight into the Giants:

@CSNBaggs – Andrew Baggarly

You're probably familiar with Baggarly if you watch CSN Bay Area, but there's only so much airtime to go around.

Following him on Twitter is a great way to catch up on his analysis, as he not only weighs in during the games, but also provides some interesting statistical trends that are otherwise overlooked by the common fan.

He also responds to fans – whether it be criticism, questions or just general comments – and is open to discussion, while still backing up his own views.

@mccoveychron – Grant Brisbee

Brisbee is a writer for McCovey Chronicles, a Giants blog part of the SBNation blog community.

While not officially a beat writer for the Giants, Brisbee writes about them so frequently that it's hard to differentiate. He does mix in some general baseball coverage from time to time, but his focus is usually on San Francisco.

Since he isn't employed by the team, Brisbee doesn't have to be so politically correct with his tweets, which brings some fresh honesty to his analysis.

@hankschulman – Henry Schulman

Schulman is a Giants beat writer for the SF Chronicle.

He is very active on Twitter, live tweeting games and offering great insight in the process. He also provides some up to the minute in-depth stats, along with informative fan interaction.

He is hit-or-miss when it comes to tweeting every game, but when he's on you get a lot of interesting and useful information coming your way.

The true heart of the team is obviously the fans, and that holds true for the Giants' Twitter community. Here are a few fan-run accounts that are great follows:

@giant_potential – GIANT Potential

This account is a must-follow if you're interested in the future stars of the San Francisco Giants.

Created by Conner Penfold, this account provides all of the updates and news on the Giants' prospects across every minor league level, including a link to the blog itself, where you can find photos, videos, and player interviews.

It's a great way to follow some of the minor league action as well, with some live in-game updates from San Jose, Richmond and Fresno, along with in-game stat lines.

Follow GIANT Potential and you'll learn a lot about the future of the team.

@carmenkiew – Carmen Kiew

This is a great account to follow if you like GIF's – and when they're Giants related, who doesn't?

They're all great quality, and a perfect way to relive some of the best Giants moments over and over again.

Carmen also posts some great live tweets and is very plugged into the team. Check out her account and you won't be disappointed.

@LOLKNBRCallers – LOL KNBR Callers

The Twitter handle is pretty self-explanatory; if you listen to KNBR you've certainly heard some great quotable material from the hosts and callers alike.

This account posts those quotes, and essentially live tweets the action going on on the radio shows.

Along with some hilarious GIF's and photos mixed in, this account is a great way to enjoy the lighter side of the Giants, and Bay Area sports in general.

@CandlestickWill - Brandon Candlestick

One of the most active and knowledgeable Giants fans on Twitter, you can tell he has passion for the game.

Following him will definitely give you some great tweets to check out, and an opportunity to discuss all things Giants.

Just to show you the level of dedication, he legally changed his name to Brandon to support the #TeamBrandon movement (Okay, it was just his Twitter handle, but it still counts).
