Women’s Soccer Voted To Finish Sixth In WCC

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team was picked to finish sixth in the West Coast Conference preseason poll by a vote of the league's 10 coaches, it was announced on Thursday.

Santa Clara, which finished third in the regular season to advance to the NCAA tournament, was selected as preseason favorites. The Broncos barely edged out BYU, last season's conference co-champions, by one vote. Santa Clara [76 points] and BYU [75 points] garnered five first place votes each.

Pepperdine [68 points], followed by Loyola Marymount [57 points] and Portland [46 points] finished ahead of the Dons with 38 points.
