LONDON – Two women from the San Francisco track and field program raced for their native country at the 2017 IAAF World Championships over the weekend.

On Saturday, USF's All-American and first-ever female national champion, Charlotte Taylor, took a trip around her hometown track. Previous to the World Championships, Taylor had competed internationally for Great Britain in the discipline of triathlon, but this stood the first international track competition for the senior from Spalding, England.

She rounded the oval at London Stadium in 32:51.33 to finish 27th in the elite competition with coaches Helen Lehman-Winters and Benji Wetli on site.
