SAN FRANCISCO -- Jock Landale had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 19 Saint Mary's overcame a sluggish start to beat San Francisco 63-52 on Saturday night.
Dane Pineau added 14 points and 12 rebounds, Joe Rahon scored 13 and Tanner Krebs made two key 3-pointers as part of a 9-1 run late in the second half to help the Gaels (14-1, 4-0 West Coast Conference) to their eighth straight win.
The game was a reunion of sorts for Saint Mary's coach Randy Bennett and San Francisco's Kyle Smith, who was part of Bennett's staff for nine seasons from 2001-10.
