I didn’t watch Saturday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos because I was covering a boxing event, but I did occasionally follow along on Twitter and I’ve since sat down and jumped through the game ... I’m honestly glad I missed most of it.
The 49ers were bad in so many ways, but most worryingly they were completely and utterly incapable of playing a game without a ton of penalties. That was also a problem in the first preseason game, and it’s something that Kyle Shanahan needs to figure out now, not later.
