49ers Receive One Compensatory Pick, Now Have 10 Total for the 2017 NFL Draft

We now know how many picks the San Francisco 49ers will have in the 2017 NFL Draft.

It’s 10 selections, after one compensatory selection was awarded to the Niners, as reported by ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.

The Niners could have had as many as 11 — more on that in a second — but ended up receiving the comp pick, a fourth rounder, for a net loss in qualifying free agents a year ago. Wide receiver Anquan Boldin and offensive guard Alex Boone left San Francisco via free agency in 2015.

And the 49ers’ only qualifying free-agent signing was guard Zane Beadles.
