The San Francisco 49ers had a lot of needs heading into this weekend’s NFL Draft. While they still have several, Trent Baalke and company did everything they could to shore up their offensive and defensive lines.
It all began with their first round selection of both a defensive and an offensive lineman, DeForest Buckner and Joshua Garnett, respectively. Both should start right away.
While the 49ers did pick up a couple of cornerbacks — perhaps the 49ers greatest position of need — along the way, their draft was predominantly made up of players in the trenches.
