Seahawks short on RBs vs. 49ers

SEATTLE - Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls, who rushed 209 yards and two touchdowns in a win against the 49ers in Seattle last year, will not play today because of a shin injury.

With Rawls out, Christine Michael (25 carries, 125 yards) will presumably see plenty of work against the 49ers at CenturyLink Field as another Seattle running back, C.J. Prosise (wrist) is also inactive. The Seahawks promoted running back Terrence Magee from the practice squad Saturday.

Last year, Rawls rushed for the most yards against the 49ers in their franchise history in a 29-13 win.
