The San Francisco 49ers, and specifically defensive lineman Quinton Dial, have made a small but hopefully meaningful contribution to a young man going through a heart-breaking situation. Alex Fernandez has terminal cancer and has stopped receiving treatment so he can instead focus his remaining days on his bucket list.
Fernandez's bucket list had included tickets to a 49ers game. Unfortunately, he might not live long enough to attend a game. In the meantime, Quinton Dial and the 49ers sent along a gift package of 49ers gear through his QD Kids Foundation. Dial created QD Kids to show support for underprivileged kids.
