The San Francisco 49ers have gone through some astronomical changes in the past couple of months. The 49ers have changed head coaches, lost two starting inside linebackers, let their face-of-the-franchise running back walk away to the Indianapolis Colts, lost a former first-round wide receiver to cross-bay rivals in the Oakland Raiders, saw two starting cornerbacks walk away to more expensive contracts with other teams, and embarrassed themselves by retracting an offer to Adam Gase to take over as head coach. Oh, and Justin Smith will likely announce his retirement sometime soon, as well.
Yet, for some reason, everyone in the 49ers’ organization is expressing nothing but excitement and hype.
