49ers News: Jim Harbaugh, Trent Baalke say no struggle for power

In another edition of 49ers news for your Friday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh and general manager Trent Baalke are looking to put rumors to rest of a reported power struggle between the two.

Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, both Harbaugh and Baalke have taken to "the umbrella of Sports Illustrated," conducting separate interviews to turn back the notion that the two are fighting for control of the team's football operations.

According to an unnamed source which spoke with Pro Football Talk, “they were told to play well in the sandbox together and that they realize that for their own futures that they have to.  Trent is much more relenting than Harbaugh.  If it works then it is because Trent compromised more, because Harbaugh won’t.”

Florio describes the quotes coming out of Baalke and Harbaugh's recent interviews as "somewhat predictable quotes from both Harbaugh and Baalke about their relationship and interactions."

Whether Trent Baalke and Jim Harbaugh are attempting to spin their relationship or not, it looks like they will attempt to put their differences aside to focus on the draft, along with the season ahead.
