San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York joined eight-time Pro Bowler Charles Woodson of the Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors CMO Chip Bowers, and San Jose Earthquakes President Dave Kaval for a thought leadership panel in San Francisco on Thursday called Minds Behind The Game hosted by Chat Sports, which York called the "best sports panel of all sports panels in history."

York shared insightful thoughts on several topics, including his thoughts on gambling, free agency, but made his strongest statements when discussing the state-of-the-art technology in Levi's Stadium and how teams can promote their brand.
"To enhance the fan experience, the infrastructure you need to invest in is WiFi," York said. "Give fans access to everything they want, and find ways to use these platforms - cell phones, social media - to your advantage. We want to spread our influence as a team and league all over the world, and social media is a big part of that."
The 49ers have created Levi’s Stadium mobile app, which allows fans to order food and drinks from their seat, watch video replays, and easily find their way around the stadium. The app also provides mobile tickets and parking passes, and the team has set the goal to go totally paperless next year - a model many other professional sports franchises are trying to emulate.
