FRESNO, Calif. -- Trey Kell scored 22 points, all in the second half, and Zylan Cheatham made four free throws down the stretch to seal San Diego State's 70-67 win over Fresno State on Saturday night.
The Aztecs led throughout the second half but Fresno State kept nipping at them.
Fresno State's Karachi Edo made two free throws to close to 61-59 with 1:43 remaining. Kell answered with a jumper and added two free throws for a 65-59 lead with 34 seconds left. Edo responded with a 3-point play to trail 65-62.
