SD 2, WSH 3: Quackenbush throws a duck and gives up a walkoff

Related Topics: Home run, Edwin Jackson

Other than hitting an abundant amount of home runs lately, the Padres don't seem to have much fortune on their side. The team was treated to a solid outing from their starter, and one of our favorite Friars with a crustacious last name hit another home run, but the Padres still walk away with the L.

Edwin Jackson put on yet another great performance, almost matching Max Scherzer inning for inning. Both starters gave up only 2 runs. Jackson lasted 6 to Scherzer's 7 innings. Something to note is that Jackson threw 87 strikes to 50 balls, and relied mostly on grounding out for 7 of his outs and popping Nats out for 3 of his other outs.
