With spring training coming to a close and the regular season a week away, the San Diego Padres are still working on their roster construction for the season. Over the past two weeks the Padres have not used their supposed regular day lineup with any regularity and the pitchers slated for the starting rotation have not been identified.
We know that the first three spots will be filled with the three veterans brought in to anchor the rotation, Jhoulys Chacin, Clayton Richard and Jered Weaver. But after that we are still waiting for the final two spots to shake out.
