"The Padres are committed to being responsible and impactful leaders in the San Diego community," said Sue Botos, the vice president of community relations for the team. "We will give hundreds of volunteer hours to local charitable organizations this holiday season in addition to the thousands of hours donated to greater San Diego throughout the year."
As for holiday giving, the Padres will be busy beginning this week. First, there will be a Thanksgiving luncheon where staff is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to Feeding America.
During the organization's holiday party, staff and their guests are encouraged to bring a new toy, which will be donated to Toys for Tots.
