The Padres were tied 6-6 after being down early and the bullpen pitched six innings to keep the Padres in the game as the offense clubbed their way back. Ryan Schimpf homered again for the Padres and Alexei Ramirez provided the decisive three run double in the 9th inning.

Padres starter Christian Friedrich lasted only three innings and came into the game having lost three of his past four starts. He certainly didn’t pitch much better on Sunday and continues to struggle with his control, uncorking another wild pitch Sunday and allowing 5 runs on the short day.
