Alex Dickerson extended his hitting streak to 23 games – tied for the longest in minor league baseball – with two more hits and James Loney and Ryan Schimpf each drove in four runs in Triple-A El Paso’s 9-1 win over Iowa on Wednesday in the Pacific Coast League.
Schimpf (.317) hit his sixth home run during a two-hit day, Carlos Asuaje (.331) collected four hits and Loney (.340) picked up three.
Dickerson is hitting an organization-best .421.
Right-hander Carlos Pimental (3-3, 7.80) struck out four and allowed a run on six hits and a walk to earn the win for the Chihuahuas (24-21).
