SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs on Monday officially announced they have re-signed center Pau Gasol.
Per team policy, terms of the contract were not announced. But league sources said last week his new deal was for three years.
According to ESPN, Gasol’s new deal is for $48 million over three years with a partial guarantee on the final year.
Gasol appeared in 64 games last season, his first with the Spurs averaging 12.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.09 blocks in 25.4 minutes.
News broke in June that Gasol would decline the $16.2 million option on his contract for the 2017-18 season with the intention of working with the Spurs on a new, longer-term deal.
