The Spurs will be without their starting shooting guard for the first few days of training camp.
Nursing a left quad contusion, Danny Green sat out the Spurs’ first practice this morning. He is also expected to be sidelined for tonight’s practice as well.
Green suffered the injury, which is not considered serious, during open gym workouts last week.
The 29-year-old guard is seeking to bounce back from a 2015-16 campaign in which he averaged 7.2 points and shot 37.6 percent, including 33.2 percent from 3-point range.
