SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs will be without Danny Green and Jonathon Simmons when they face the Houston Rockets on Friday night in the preseason finale at the AT&T Center.
Green, the club’s staring shooting guard, suffered a left quad strain in Tuesday’s intra-squad scrimmage that limited him to 9 minutes of action. Simmons, a backup shooting guard, has a right calf contusion that also prevented him from playing in the scrimmage.
It’s the second time during camp Green has been sidelined with an injury to his left leg. A left quad contusion forced him to miss the first eight days of practice.
