SAN ANTONIO – Spain’s Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz announced Wednesday the signing of former Spurs point guard Nico Laprovittola.
As a 26-year-old rookie this season, Laprovittola played in 18 games for the Spurs, averaging 3.3 points and 1.6 assists.
The Spurs were 3-0 in games Laprovittola started.
The Spurs waived Laprovittola on Dec. 27.
Laprovittola played in the Spanish League last season with Movistar Estudiantes Madrid.
