Boris Diaw has been a significant piece in the Spurs second unit, the past few seasons. Last season, Diaw averaged 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. Diaw played in 81 games, starting only 15 of them. Diaw has been a durable player for the Spurs, as he has played in at least 75 games each of his three full seasons.
This season Diaw will have a slightly different role with the additions of LaMarcus Aldridge and David West. With Aldridge and Tim Duncan starting, Diaw will be asked to come off the bench with West.
