As 2016 is nearing its conclusion, Popovich will no doubt be remembered for providing his opinion on numerous topics, including current social injustices plaguing the country and the presidential election, which you can read here.
Last month the longtime Spurs head coach offered another gem while appearing at the Carver Community Center alongside Dr. Cornell West to speak to over 200 youth in San Antonio.
Though the dialogue centered around the state of country, and how students from Sam Houston High School can affect change as they prepare to take their place in society, Popovich was asked if he felt the Spurs, currently sitting at 16-4 this season, would win a championship.
