MORAGA, Calif. — Kickoff for Saint Mary's women's soccer is just four days away and the Gaels are working hard in preparation for the first two contests of 2017. SMC opens the season with back-to-back home matches, with Sacramento State on Friday, Aug. 18 at 3:30 p.m., and Fordham on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 3:30 p.m.
Leading up to opening weekend, we will take a look at each position, starting with the defense.

With the departure of senior Julia McDonald, the Gaels have a revamped, youthful group in goal with all three keepers either first or second year players.
