MSOC | Saint Mary's Ties At Sacramento State

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A heavy dose of offense mixed with physicality pulled the Saint Mary’s men’s soccer team and Sacramento State even Saturday, as the two teams battled to a 1-1 double-overtime draw in the final game of the Copa de Causeway at Hornet Field.

A total of 33 shots, 12 corner kicks and 38 fouls were tallied in the game. Saint Mary’s (2-5-3) won the shots battle, 20-13, and held a 9-3 advantage in corners. The Gaels put nine shots on goal. Remi Prieur made his third straight start in goal for Saint Mary’s and made five saves with just one goal allowed in 110 minutes.
