SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Leading up to the start of the beach volleyball season, Saint Mary’s has earned second place in the West Coast Conference Women’s Beach Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll and garnered national attention by receiving votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Preseason Poll.
Saint Mary’s, who reached the finals in last year's WCC tournament and finished the season 17-6, was picked second in the WCC Preseason Poll with 28 points and one first-place vote. 2016 Freshman of the Year Lindsey Knudsen and Payton Rund were named to the All-WCC Women’s Beach Volleyball Preseason Team.
