SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Kevin Milam was named the 2017 West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year and the Saint Mary's baseball team tied for the league high with eight Gaels honored on the all-WCC teams, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
Milam was also named to the all-WCC second team and the WCC all-freshmen team. He powered his way through his rookie campaign, hitting seven home runs and collecting 26 RBIs in 27 WCC contests. He slugged .505 in WCC play and scored 18 runs. He was also 2-0 on the mound with a 2.
